James H. Messner

James H. Messner passed away on September 3, 2021 at the age of 87.  He was the beloved husband of the late Patsy Messner nee Meadows of Wentzville, Missouri.  He is survived by his two sons, Phil (Kathryn) Messner of O'Fallon, MO, and Doug (Pam) Messner of Wentzville, MO; daughter, Janet (Saul Suster) Messner of St. Louis, MO; brother, Jack (Theba) Messner of Joplin, MO; and grandson, Alexander Messner.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Vern and Genevieve Messner nee Green, and wife, Patsy. James was a member of the Catholic faith.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a graduate of Washington University earning a Bachelor's Degree in Business.  Jim was the owner of Jim's Saddlery.  He loved living the "Cowboy Life" and participated in cattle drives over the years.  He was a wonderful Dad, Grandfather, and friend to all.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
