Jim, a proud member of the Admiral King High School Class of 1966 in Lorain, Ohio, lived a life full of love, adventure, and devotion to his family. After graduating, he married his beloved Lynn in 1969, and together they raised three wonderful children: Leigh, Lauren, and Andrew.
In 1970, Jim began a dedicated 42-year career with PolyOne, a journey that took him and his family to many places, including Chicago, Indianapolis, Venezuela, Cleveland, and Saint Louis. He eventually retired in Arizona, where he enjoyed a very active life.
Jim believed in living life to the fullest with the mentality of never having a single regret. He loved his active 8 Dachshunds over the years. He was passionate about cycling, golf, playing pool, poker, hiking, and was an avid bowler. He also loved to travel and read, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren, who affectionately called him “Poppy.”
Jim never missed a chance to make everyone feel welcome. To many, he was a second father, a mentor and a true friend. Those who were blessed to know him will never forget his infectious grin and wonderful sense of humor. His playful teasing was his way of spreading smiles wherever he went.
Jim will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
