James "Jim" G. Eddens, Jr. was born on April 22, 1960 in St. Charles, Missouri; son of the late James George Eddens Sr. and Sylvia Ann Eddens nee Warren. Jim passed away on June 20, 2021 at the age of 61 years. He was the beloved husband of Shirley Dawn Eddens nee Presley of Wentzville, Missouri. He is survived by his daughter, Jessica (Kevin) Harwood of Blue Springs, MO; three step-brothers, William, James, and Scott Smith; two step-sisters, Cindy Bradford, and Deanna Ybarra; and fishing buddy, Connie Martin. He is preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Marcella Smith Eddens. Jim married his best friend Shirley on May 17, 1986 at St. Cletus Catholic Church in St. Charles, MO. He served as Ward 3 Alderman of Wentzville from April 1996 to April 2000 and also on the Board of Adjustment in Wentzville. He played an instrumental role in bringing the Renaissance Faire to Wentzville. Jim had a great sense of humor and loved fishing at the Lake of the Ozarks and Mustang cars. Most of all he enjoyed watching his daughter, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, all grow and reach success. Jim will surely be dearly missed by all who knew him.
