Jan David Moench

Jan David Moench passed away on August 24, 2021 at the age of 72. He was the beloved husband of Sherri Moench nee Meyer of St. Paul, Missouri. He is survived by his two sons, Nathan (Becky) Prinster of St. Paul, MO, and Brandon "Rudy" (Melanie) Prinster of Old Monroe, MO; daughter, Cori (Jim) Osterholt of St. Paul, MO; and seven grandchildren, Lexi, Emmie, Cody, Hunter, Hadley, Carter, and Allie. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Flora Moench nee Jesus. Jan was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul, Missouri. He was incredibly talented at many trades including gunsmithing, wood working, and welding. He especially loved to teach anyone who wanted to learn, all he knew about welding. Jan was an outdoorsman, loved to go on road trips, and he was also a great chef known for the best steaks in town. Jan was a devoted family man; he was very thoughtful and generous, compassionate and caring. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
