Jean Ann Brandon (nee Schott), was called to Heaven on January 7, 2025, at the age of 93, surrounded by family. She was born on May 4, 1931, to the late Franklin and Gertrude (Hiob) Schott. Jean married the love of her life, David Brandon, on August 22, 1952. They celebrated 47 years of marriage before his passing on March 24, 2000. She is survived by her three daughters, Linda (Dave) Bishop of Elkhorn, NE, Lori (Jeff) Voorhees of Blairsville, GA, and Lisa (Harvey) Klassen of Wentzville, MO; ten grandchildren, Brandon (Becca) Lochstampfor, Emily (Joel) Schulz, Blake (Bea) Bishop, Justin (Jenny) Spaulding, David (Brandi) Lochstampfor, Jeff (Jen) Bishop, Caitlin (Chris) Seiler, Austin (Tori) Voorhees, Hannah (Karl) Ladage, Anna (Brandon) Rarey; and twenty-one great-grandchildren, Alexa, Jackson, Andrew, Tucker, Asher, Ivy, Mason, Mira, Bradlee, Ethan, Lucas, Harlow, Julia, Ruthie, Colton, JoJo, Nora, Jace, Gavin, Vivienne, and Evelyn; Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Andrew Lochstampfor; and sister and brother-in-law, Jeanette and Paul Homsher.
Jean was a woman of strong faith. She always said that when she found Jesus, she had finally found her Father, and that even though she loved her three daughters dearly, she always loved Jesus more. After her husband's passing, Jean joined a mission team through her church and went on several mission trips well into her 80's. It was her own personal mission to spread the word of Jesus and to make sure everyone she met would eventually make it to Heaven. In her last days, she was proud to say that she was going home to Heaven soon. Jean loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
