Jean Chavaux (née: Sandbrink) of O' Fallon, Missouri, passed away on May 3, 2026, at the age of 94. She was the beloved wife of the late, Paul Chavaux; She is survived by her two sons, Paul Chavaux of Wentzville, MO, Bradley (Myra) Chavaux of Union, MO; daughter, Therese (Keith Turnbull) Chavaux of Saint Louis, MO; grandchildren, Joseph, Alana, Maxwell, Vyncent and Iain; great grandchild, David James "DJ"; She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Sandbrink, mother, Louise Sandrbrink (née: Strub), brother, Thomas Sandbrink.
Known for her kindness and quiet supportiveness.
Her childhood summers were spent with Sandbrink relatives in Catawissa, MO. She graduated from high school-Nerix Hall. She attended Webster College for 2 years for voice and opera. She returned to college in the 1980’s to earn a Licensed Practical Nursing Degree. Worked at St. Mary’s infirmary for the Sisters of the Most Precious Blood, in O’ Fallon, MO. until retirement.
Married Paul in 1953. Lived in Brentwood, MO until 1972 and moved to Lake Saint Louis, MO and lived until moving into assisted living. She and Paul traveled much in their retirement years, including a memorable trip to the Holyland and Egypt.
Active in her parish, St. Patrick’s/Wentzville. She loved flowers and gardening, but most of all, she loved singing. In her later years, she found the joy in being silly with her children and grandchildren; never losing her sense of humor. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
