Jeanette "Jeanne" Dolores Payne of Wentzville, Missouri passed away on September 11, 2023 at the age of 91. She is survived by her busband George W. Payne; her three daughters, Lisa Payne-Naeger, Diana (Scott) Wilton, and Gail Payne; five grandchildren, Michael (Emily Elhoffer) Wilton, Nicholas Wilton, Daniel Naeger, Corinne Naeger, Autumn Greener; and numerous extended family and friends.
Jeanne and George were married in St. Louis, Missouri October 1. 1955, celebrating 67 years of marriage before Jeanne's passing. She had many interests including gardening, bird watching, reading and traveling, especially to the Rocky Mountains and the national parks out west. She was a great cook and her scrumptious meals will be fondly remembered at future family gatherings. Jeanne was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Earl Harris Wilson, mother, Jeanette (Smets) Wilson, brother, Earl Wilson, Jr., sisters, Mable Smith, Ellen Nickle, Josphine Campbell, Jacqueline Holman.
