Jennifer Elaine Byrd passed away on June 25, 2025 the age of 47.
Jennifer had a passion for reading, writing, and music. She especially enjoyed listening to audio books on her iPad and spending time outdoors. Her deep affection for wolves reflected her strong, gentle, and fiercely loyal nature.
Always willing to lend a hand, Jennifer was an incredible helper. In recent years, she assisted her father in rehabilitating their home, a project she took great pride in. She also loved driving the tractor, embracing the challenge and joy of hands-on work.
A traveler at heart, Jennifer explored the world with wonder and enthusiasm. Her journeys took her to Egypt, France, Italy, Hawaii, Alaska, and many others around the world, where she embraced new cultures and created lasting memories.
One of Jennifer’s most cherished roles was helping her sister raise her son from birth through his early childhood. Family meant everything to Jennifer, and she gave of herself freely and wholeheartedly to those she loved.
She is survived by her son, Jonathan (Keely) Byrd; her father, Duane (Cathy) Jefts, her mother, Christine (Tom) Martz, two brothers, Joseph Jefts, Tim Martz; two sisters, Katie Logan, Heidi Martz; two aunts, Cathy Astleford, Amy Bruce; and uncle, Mark Bruce
Jennifer will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those she loved.
