Jennifer Meeks Obituary

Jennifer King Meeks was born on July 17, 1984, in Moberly, Missouri, to Jerry and Becky King. She was a 2003 graduate of Salisbury High School. Jennifer passed away on January 9, 2026, surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of strength, honesty, and deep devotion to the people she cherished most.

Jennifer married the love of her life, Richard “Ricky” Meeks, on April 27, 2024. Though their time together was far too short, the years Jennifer spent with Ricky were the happiest and most fulfilling of her life.

Jennifer had a heart of gold and always put the happiness of others before her own. She found joy in the simple things—time spent with her grandchildren, cooking and baking for those she loved, creating diamond art, listening to Jelly Roll, and unapologetically raising a little hell along the way. Her laughter was contagious, her presence unforgettable.

Sobriety changed Jennifer’s life, and she protected it fiercely. It was her greatest accomplishment, and she never missed an opportunity to share her journey with others who were struggling. Through her honesty and courage, she gave hope to many and reminded others that change is always possible.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, Richard Meeks; her parents, Jerry and Becky King of Wright City, Missouri; her sons, Michael Stoops (Sarah) of Clayburg, Pennsylvania, and Xavier Clark of Macon, Missouri; her beloved grandchildren, Rayanne, Parker, and Milo; her sisters, Melinda Arends (Jamison) of Jackson, Missouri, and Krystal Burris (Jason) of Glasgow, Missouri; her brothers, Bruce King (Deven) of Salisbury, Missouri, and Aaron King of Snellville, Georgia; her sister-in-law, Brandy King of Columbia, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved tremendously and found great joy in watching them grow, as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, several of whom became family through years of love and shared life. She also cherished her extended family through marriage, including Ricky’s mother, Jerry Thomas; his godmother, Denise Young; his cousins, Greg Venhaus, Cara Cipolla; and his nieces, who held a special place in her life.
