Jerry Burbes

Jerry Burbes, 73, of New Melle, Missouri, passed away March 10, 2020, at St. Joseph Hospital, St. Charles, Missouri. The son of John and Madeline June (DeHart) Burbes, he was born May 30, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri. On June 4, 1971, at St. Charles, Missouri, he married Constance Sue Rauch, who preceded him in death on March 31, 2018. Also preceding him were his parents.He is survived by: one daughter, Carrie Stevener and her husband, Tyson of New Melle, Missouri; three sons, Brian Burbes and his wife, Leigh Ann of Troy, Missouri, Craig Burbes and his wife, Marili of Austin, Texas and Matt Burbes of New Melle, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Jordyn and Bailey Burbes, Hayden and Bennett Stevener and Rubi, Lina and Maya Burbes; and one sister, Becky Burbes of Georgetown, Texas. Mr. Burbes was an educator his entire life with Francis Howell School District. He was a teacher, coach and administrator. He was active with the Missouri Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association and a member of the St. Charles County and the St. Louis County Athletic Hall of Fame.

Visitation will be held from 12 until 6 p.m., Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Pitman Funeral Home, 1545 Wentzville Pkwy, Wentzville, Missouri 63385 (636-327-6600) and from 10 – 11 a.m., Monday morning. A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 16, 2020 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Trevor Joerling Memorial Scholarship or Bill Todd Scholarship Fund.
