Jerry Hakenwerth Obituary

Jerry Hakenwerth of Moscow Mills, passed away on June 18, 2026, at the age of 77. He is survived by his beloved wife, RoseMary Hakenwerth (née: Eisenbath) of Moscow Mills, Missouri; two sons, Tony (Melissa) Hakenwerth of Foristell, MO, Tim (Kelly) Hakenwerth of Moscow Mills, MO; brother, Charles (Virginia) Hakenwerth of Lake St. Louis, Mo; grandchildren, Mia, Tyler, McKayla, Sophia, and Madi; He is preceded in death by his Father, John Hakenwerth, Mother, Catherine Hakenwerth (née: Forbeck), and brother, Robert Hakenwerth.

Jerry was united in marriage to RoseMary, and together they were blessed with two sons, Tony and Tim.
Jerry was a faithful member of St. Theodore Catholic Church, and was a hardworking, devoted family man who found great joy in the simple things in life. He loved spending time at home and often said, "Why go anywhere? I have everything I need right here." He took great pride in caring for his property and could often be found mowing the grass or working around the house.

Known as "I can do it," Jerry had a remarkable ability to repair and construct just about anything. Whenever family, or friends needed a helping hand, he was always there to lend one. He had a passion for classic cars, enjoyed working on tractors, and spent more than 30 years in the construction industry and small businesses.

Jerry enjoyed turkey hunting with his sons. He also enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren. Every Sunday, he looked forward to visiting the flea market with his grandson, always keeping an eye out for treasures that his family might enjoy. It was not uncommon for him to call Tim or Tony and ask, "Do you want this?" or "Would you like that?”, a small but meaningful way he showed his love and thoughtfulness. He enjoyed spending time visiting friends and family in his later years.

Above all else, Jerry loved his family and friends, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
