Jerry Knerr Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jerry A. Knerr on March 11, 2024, at the age of 90. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Grace Knerr, his brother, Roger Knerr, his sister, Shirley Slaback, and his son, Jay A. Knerr.

He is survived and lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Viola P. Knerr, and his sons, Keith (Jane) Knerr and Mark (Kim) Knerr. Jerry's legacy lives on through his cherished grandchildren, Nicole, Daniel, Ryan, Tyler, Samuel, Olivia, and Kaitlyn, as well as his adored great-grandchildren, Kaylie, Lucas, Hunter, and Elisha.

A dedicated Landing Gear Engineer, baseball coach, and tennis coach, Jerry was known not only for his professional expertise and love of sports, but also for his unwavering generosity, compassion, and strong faith. He was a man of deep faith, and his kindness and love for others reflected his spiritual beliefs.

He enjoyed sharing his passion for sports with others and was a loyal fan of the St. Louis Blues and Cardinals. Jerry's quick wit and kind heart touched the lives of many. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Cancer Society in honor of Jerry's memory.

He will be deeply missed and will forever hold a special place in our hearts. In honoring Jerry's memory, may we find comfort in the cherished moments we shared with him. May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
