Joetta Myers Blumenberg, age 79, formerly of Wright City, MO, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 17, 2025, at Aspire Health and Rehab of Jonesburg, MO. She was born on August 20, 1945, in East Prairie, MO, to the late Joe B. and Kathleen (Couch) Myers.
Joetta married the love of her life, James Linus Blumenberg, on February 27, 1962. They moved from East Prairie to St. Charles, MO early in their marriage. Joetta earned her LPN and CMT certifications and dedicated her career to helping others. She worked for Fort Zumwalt School District until her retirement in 2005, then returned to healthcare, serving Nurses and Company.
Joetta was a devoted member of the Pentecostals of Warrenton, Warrenton, MO, where she enjoyed volunteering in various capacities. Joetta loved her church and she loved the Lord. Her greatest joys included spending time with her grandchildren, fishing and boating with her husband, cooking for family and friends, sharing laughter, and caring for others.
She was the beloved wife of James Linus Blumen berg for almost 63 years. Joetta was the cherished daughter of the late Joe B. and Kathleen (Couch) Myers and a devoted mother to Lisa (Aaron) Adams and LaWanda (Brian) Whitman. She was a loving grandmother to Brianna (Justin) Oliver, Lydia Whitman, and Braxtyn Whitman, and a treasured great-grandmother to Garrett, Beckett, and Paisley Oliver. She is also survived by her brother, Reverend Gary Myers, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Joetta was preceded in death by her parents, and numerous siblings, including James Elmer Myers, Larry Joe Myers, Marie Myers, Barbara Foster, Betty Mitchell, Shirley Chance, Vickie Sanders, Penny Houston, and Rita Myers.
