John Benson, I Obituary

John Benson of O’Fallon, Missouri passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at the age of 82 years.

He is survived by two daughters, Brenda Fields of Florida and Rhonda Koehler of O’Fallon; four grandchildren, Jason A. Murphy of St. Peters, Craig A. Murphy of Nashville, TN, Seth Benson and Ali Benson both of Mount Vernon, IL; one great grandson, other relatives, and friends.

John Everett Benson I was born March 23, 1940 in Springfield, Illinois; son of the late James Earl Benson, Sr. and wife, Alice Cresto Benson.

He worked as a meatcutter in Illinois for many years.

He was also preceded in death by his son, John Benson II; and three siblings, James Benson, Jr., Patricia McKain, and Barbara Molohon.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
