Joseph Morris Obituary

Joseph Charles Morris passed away on April 4, 2020 at the age of 90. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen Morris nee Hamilton of Wentzville, Missouri; He is survived by his son, Thomas (Sharon) Morris; two daughters, Kathy (Robert) Henry and Mary (Mark) Hayes; sister, Pat Copelin; brother-in-law, William Mueller; step-sons; Daniel (Cindy) Riesenbeck and Michael (Kris) Riesenbeck; step daughter-in-law, Melissa Riesenbeck; six grandchildren, Stephen (Julia) Henry, Courtney Hayes, Nicole (Mike) Wolff, Jamie Hayes, Mark Hayes, James Morris;  He is preceded in death by his father, William C. Morris, mother, Catherine Morris (nee Weber), first wife, JoAnn C. Morris (nee Schaefer), son, James Morris, step-son, Patrick Riesenbeck, brothers, Robert Morris and  Raymond Morris, sister, Marie Morris, brother-in-law, Tom Copelin, sister, Jeannie Mueller.  

Joseph Charles Morris was born on March 24, 1930 to William C. Morris and Catherine J. Morris (nee Weber).  He served in the U. S. Air Force for 8 years; 4 years active duty and 4 years in the reserves, and was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant.  He graduated from St. Louis University in 1961 with a BSC in Commerce and was elected to Alpha Sigma Nu and Jesuit Honorary Fraternity.  Joseph served on the Federal Grand Jury for two years.  He served as an Oasis Reading Tutor for 15 years and a volunteer at DePaul Hospital and at St. Joseph Hospital at Lake St. Louis.  In 2014 he was awarded the Cardinal Regali Service Award.   He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
