Joseph Self

Joseph Self of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away on October 21, 2025 at the age of 88. He is survived by his beloved wife Noelene "Sue" Self (née: Estes) of Wentzville, Missouri; son, Edward Allen Self; He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Self, mother, Goldie Self (née: Hedger). 

Joseph proudly served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1959. On June 2, 1962. Joseph married Sue in St. Louis, Missouri, and together they were blessed with a son, Edward.
Joseph dedicated 20 years of service to Red Arrow Air Freight before retiring. He was passionate about the Wentzville flea market and was known for his love of cars, a true car enthusiast who even built the only Oldsmobile truck in existence. His skills as a handyman were unmatched; there was nothing he couldn’t build or fix around the house.

Joseph took great joy in teaching Edward how to work on cars, change oil, and replace tires, sharing both his knowledge, and his time. He also enjoyed traveling and exploring new places with his loved ones.

Joseph will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
