Schuermann, Judith Diann (nee Ehlers) age 84 passed from this life to her heavenly home on September 4, 2025. Born July 31, 1941 to the late Walter and Renata Ehlers nee Fischer in Stover, MO. After completion of primary school, Judith attended Concordia College in Concordia, MO. Following graduation, she began her career in the education field which included teaching roles with Zion Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran Church and the Francis Howell School District. Her career turned to the financial services industry including positions with Deutsche, ITT and G.E. Commercial Finance.
Outside of her professional career, Judith found time to treasure moments with family and friends, and she developed many hobbies throughout her life. She had a natural talent for quilting and was an excellent seamstress. Her sewing talent allowed her to make the wedding dress for her daughter and the baptismal dresses for all 4 of her grandchildren. Her skills also included playing the piano and organ.
Preceding her in passing from this life are her parents, Walter and Renata Ehlers; her daughter in infancy Melissa Schuermann and her parents in law; Walter and Alice Schuermann.
Leaving to share in her memory and legacy are her beloved husband of 61 years, Norbert Schuermann; daughter, Ellen Schuermann-Lang (Donald); son, David Schuermann (Christy); sisters, Joyce Marriott (Donnie); Rita Barron (Steve); sister-in-law, Janice Muskopf; her grandchildren, Anna Mae Lang; Addie Grapenthin (Brett); Kathryn Schuermann; Sarah Schuermann; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
The bonds she made throughout her life with family and friends will continue to live on in her shining example of love, warmth and compassion.
Funeral service for Mrs. Schuermann will be held at the Pitman Funeral Home Wentzville on Saturday September 13th. The family will receive friends during the visitation from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. with funeral service to begin at 2:00 P.M. The committal and interment will take place at the Troy City Cemetery in Troy, MO.
