Kathleen Wilmes (née: Bischoff) of Wright City, Missouri, passed away on July 9, 2026, at the age of 77. She is survived by her beloved husband, Lester Wilmes of Wright City, Missouri; sisters, Shirley Manion of St. Peters, MO, and June Bareis of St. Louis, MO; beloved sister-in-law to many; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Fred Bischoff, mother, Louise Bischoff (née: Laminger), brother, Fred Bischoff, Jr., sisters, Mary Lou Bischoff, and Patricia Jones. 

Kathleen and Lester were united in marriage and shared many wonderful years together.

Kathleen found her greatest joy in the outdoors. She loved fishing, camping, boating, traveling, and driving the tractor. She especially enjoyed spending time in her garden, tending to flowers and vegetables. Kathleen was a wonderful cook, and she took great satisfaction in canning the fruits and vegetables she grew. She looked forward to every holiday, treasuring the opportunity to gather with her loved ones.

Kathleen will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
