Kathy M. Stone passed away on June 22, 2026 at the age of 68. She is survived by her children, Kimberly Boggs, Anthony Reeser, Angela Reeser, and Brady Simmons; her brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Sandra Wilmath; her sister, Danielle Linders; her grandchildren, Cynthia Rogers, Kaitlyn Rogers, Halle Rogers, Stevie Reeser, Christian Fitch, and Madison Pridgen; and four great-grandchildren, with two more expected.

Kathy lived a colorful life. She had a larger-than-life personality and an even bigger presence. Loud, boisterous, funny, and wonderfully dramatic, she had a way of making every room brighter simply by walking into it. Talking with Kathy was an experience all its own. Behind her colorful personality was a compassionate heart. She had a gift for making people feel welcome, heard, and loved. She expressed that love in many ways, especially through cooking family favorites like spaghetti, meatloaf, and chili, bringing everyone together around the table.

Kathy found joy in life’s little treasures. She loved collecting interesting rocks, wearing colorful jewelry, shopping for little gifts, and talking about dachshunds she affectionately called  “wiener dogs.” She always dreamed of having one of her own.

Kathy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe, the love of her life; her parents, Phyllis Goodrich and William “Bill” Wilmath; and all those who welcomed her home before her. She and Joe were high school sweethearts who found their way back to one another after many years apart, and her family finds comfort in knowing they are together again.

Family was Kathy’s greatest joy. She cherished every opportunity to have her children together and loved her grandchildren deeply. She proudly shared their photos and stories with anyone who would listen. Her colorful spirit, infectious laugh, unforgettable stories, and the love she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
