With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Keith Fieleke, a devoted man of faith, a loving husband, father, papa, and friend, who left us to be with his heavenly father on September 3, 2023, at age 83.
Born on February 14, 1940, Keith was a man of unwavering dedication who spent 59 beautiful years by the side of his high school sweetheart and beloved wife, June (Mitchell). They would have celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary on February 15, 2024.
Keith lived for his family and was a devoted man of faith and a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
He was an excellent provider; he spent thirty-six years working for Armstrong World Industries. Following his retirement, Keith remained active and drove a school bus for ten years, ensuring the safe transportation of countless children.
Keith's love for his family was boundless. He would move mountains for his children, and they always knew they could count on him. He was often found in the yard or garage, ensuring everything was in perfect order. Procrastination was a word absent from his vocabulary, so he taught his children the value of hard work and helping others by example.
His heart truly belonged to his grandchildren, and he treasured every opportunity to spend time with them, creating lifelong bonds and memories.
Keith's love extended to his canine companions; their companionship brought joy and comfort to his life.
During his years of good health, he spent his weekends boating and camping.
In addition to his family and work, Keith had a passion for motorcycles, old cars, and the timeless tunes of yesteryears, and he enjoyed time reminiscing.
Keith's passing leaves a void in our lives, but his legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and those who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his sister, Sandy Hebert (Boyd), and brother-in-law, Tommy Mitchell; numerous nieces and nephews; his son, Brian Fieleke; his daughter, Tricia Anderson (Todd); and grandchildren, Reid, Brooke, Madeline, Brenna, Blake, Grey, Cade, Bree, and John.
Keith is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Edith Fieleke, and his sister LaVonne Wilkening (Bernell), brothers-in-law, Warren, Kenny, Clyde, Earl, Jerry, Norman, and Charlie Jo (Mitchell), and sisters-in-law, Lottie Trumble and Jane Boone.
The family requests donations be made to their local animal shelter or the National Humane Society.
Keith's life will be celebrated on Friday, September 8, 2023, at Pitman Funeral Home, 1545 Wentzville Pkwy, Wentzville, MO 63385. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., with a service starting at 3 p.m.
