Kenneth H. Dingerson passed away peacefully at home after a lengthly illness on January 15, 2021 at the age of 70.
Kenneth was born August 2, 1950 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Gilbert and Ruth Dingerson nee Dierking.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Nancy L. Dingerson nee Amptmann of Foristell. Mother-in-law, Janice Amptmann of Wentzville, sister-in-law Lisa Swagman and her husband Larry of O’Fallon, brothers-in-law, Rick Amptmann and his wife Linda of Bolingbrook, IL and Wayne Amptmann and his wife Linda of St. Charles, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Ken was a retired teacher which was his dream job as he loved to reach out to others, especially teenagers, and provide any type of assistance he possibly could. He enjoyed many years of being a member of the Jaycees and Lions to help those organizations assist people in need. He loved fishing, especially in Branson on Lake Taneycomo. He started gardening after retirement and had somewhat of a green thumb; whereby, he could grow amazingly nice produce. In addition, he enjoyed cooking, playing cards, traveling, woodworking, reading, and watching ME-TV western shows while doing Sudoku puzzles. He treasured the time spent with family and friends despite his hearing and health issues. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Preceded in death are his parents, Gilbert and Ruth Dingerson nee Dierking and father-in-law, Clarence Amptmann.
Due to COVID concerns and for the safety of all family and friends, there will not be a public memorial service at this time. Ken requested cremation, and a private graveside service. Everyone is invited to leave comments and favorite memories on the tribute wall. May God shine his light upon each and every one of you and keep you safe and healthy during these turbulent times.
