Kenneth "Ken" Bruning passed away on July 14, 2021 at the age of 102. Ken was born March 7, 1919 in Rural Wright City, MO to the late John and Lottie Bruning nee Paige.
Ken served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Ken worked on the farm and in the manufacturing business, he was also a meter reader for Cuivre River. After Ken retired he then spent many happy years volunteering for Agape and Warren County Senior Center delivering meals until he was 95. He also volunteered for College Methodist Church, Father Christmas at the Schowengerdt house, Warren Co-MO Old Threshers, Duetsch Country Days as a rope maker and he enjoyed sharing his rope making with kids of all ages. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Ken is survived by his daughter, Joy (Walter) Dufrain of Wright City, MO; daughter in law, Becky Bruning; 2 sisters, Dorothy Torgler of Concordia, KS, Ruth Cook of St. Charles, MO; three granddaughters, Paige (David) Kane Tremblay, Pamela (Kyle) Jordon, Amanda (Chris) Neff; two grandsons, Jason (Missy) Hanning, Paul (Karla) Bruning, Jr.; many great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by wife, Edith Idele Bruning of 68 years, son, Paul Bruning brother, Willard Bruning, brother, Raymond Bruning, brother, Roger Bruning, brother, Keith Bruning, brother, James Bruning, sister, Charlotte Newell-Corzine.
