On Saturday, June 4, 2022, Larry Lee Clementz entered into the arms of Jesus at his home in St. Paul, MO. Larry was born in Sterling, IL on March 10, 1947 to Robert Jerome and Edna Marie (Eichelberger) Clementz. After graduating from Rock Falls High School in 1965, Larry joined the United States Air Force and married his high school sweetheart, Teresa Ruth Waisner. He spent four years in the United States Air Force as an air traffic controller living in Biloxi, MS and Big Spring, TX. After his four year service, he attended air traffic controller school in Oklahoma City, OK. He then moved to Lansing, MI, Grand Ledge, MI, New Berin, WI, St. Charles, MO and finally to St. Paul, MO. Larry was an air traffic controller for 30 years before retiring at the age of 47, as well as owned Clementz Contruction Company. He enjoyed stock car and drag racing, car collecting, auto body, golfing, fishing, gardening, wood working and spending time with family. Over the years, he made countless friends. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix and he was devoted to his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Edna Clementz, brother, Dennis Clementz, mother-in-law and father-in law, John and Ruth (Bohms) Waisner, and brother-in-law, Don Buckingham. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Teresa of St. Paul, MO, sister Vynne (Dave) Harrison of Dixon,IL, sister-in-law, Kathy (Brown) Clementz, of St. Peters, MO, sister-in-law Nancy (Waisner) (Dave) Mergenthal of St. Paul, MO, four children, Loren (Tracy) Clementz of Troy, MO, Wendy (Scott) Bennett of Hawk Point, MO, RaeAnn (David) Fears of Perryville, MO, Jennifer Clementz (Mitch) of Foristell, MO, 14 grandchildren, Chris (Stephanie) Clementz, Deric (Dannielle) Bennett, Clinton Inman, Justin (Lisa) Clementz, Paige (Cody) Wibbenmeyer, Landon Inman, Brandon Clementz, Shea (Jake) Johnson, Kameron Fears (fiance’ Macey), Trey Jones, Lacey Hawkins, Kwaid Fears (fiance’ Jocelyn), Kylie (John) Paleta, Peyton Hawkins and 16 great grandchildren.
