Larry Allen Langewisch

Larry Langewisch of Defiance, Missouri passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022 at the age of 81 years.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Langewisch of Defiance, MO; three children, Scott Langewisch and wife, Brenda of St. Clair, MO, Dana Hilyard and husband, Patrick of St. Peters, MO, and Lisa Carey and husband, Michael of St. Charles, MO; four grandchildren, Gabrielle Erb of Tulsa, OK, Ben Carey of Colorado Springs, CO, Jessica Carey of St. Charles, and Sammie Hilyard of St. Peters, MO; one great grandson, Roman Erb; other relatives, and many friends.

Larry Allen Langewisch was born July 13, 1940 in St. Louis; son of the late Lester Langewisch and wife, Erma Fick Langewisch. He grew up in the Ellisville, Missouri area. He served his country in the United States Army from 1958-1961. Larry worked for many years as a pipefitter. In 2002, Larry married Elaine Wilson and they made their home in Defiance, MO.

Larry was a longtime Boy Scout leader, member of the Planning and Zoning Board in Ellisville, the Athletic Association of Ellisville, VFW of New Melle, MO life member, American Legion life member. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and is in the Horseshoe Hall of Fame.
