Leroy Stevener Obituary

Leroy Stevener of Town and Country, formally of Defiance, MO, passed away on July 28, 2024 at the age of 86. He was the beloved husband of the late Janet Stevener (nee: Rees). He is survived by his four sons, Joe (Joyce) Rees of Troy, MO, D. J. Akers of St. Clair, MO, Tony Todaro of Tipton, MO, Mike (Melissa) Houran of Decatur, IL; daughter, Holly (Bobby) Stephens of Brashear, MO; ten grandchildren, Jorden, Liam, Connor, Abel, Alyssa, Brendan, Jessica, Michael, Casey and Abby; six great-grandchildren; two nephews, Orville (Nancy) Stevener of Washington, MO, Bob Stevener of Troy, MO; niece, Judy (Eric) Straatmann of Washington, MO;  He is preceded in death by his father, Edwin Stevener, mother, Emma Stevener (nee: Hindersman), wife, Janet Stevener, brother, Orville Stevener, Sr..  

Leroy was born January 9, 1938 in St. Charles County, Missouri, to the late Edwin and Emma Stevener. Leroy was a long time farmer, growing grain crops and raising cattle. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors. He loved being a part of nature. Leroy will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Family is being served by Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville.
