Linda Kay Love of Lake St. Louis, MO passed away on April 7, 2025 at the age of 77. Linda was born December 14, 1947,daughter of Ralph and Mabel (Frisbee) Love. Linda dedicated 35 years of her professional life to serving as the Chief Financial Officer for the O'Fallon Fire Protection District. Linda's passion for service extended beyond her professional role. She was a proud volunteer with the DMORT Team (Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team), where she provided compassionate assistance in the aftermath of the Joplin tornado in 2011.
Beyond her professional and volunteer work, Linda was known for her love of life's many pleasures. She was an avid gambler, finding joy in visiting Las Vegas and the local Ameristar Casino. Her enthusiasm for the thrill of the game was matched only by her love for fishing and traveling. Linda's adventurous spirit took her to many beautiful places, and she cherished every moment spent reeling in a catch or exploring new destinations.
She is survived by her five children, Erica (Rick) Miller, Ryan (Joy) House, Paula Vaughan, Bryan Worth, and Becca (Dave) Cook; brother, Randy (Sharon) Love; two sisters, Bonnie (Bill) Love and Jeannie (Ben) Reek; nine grandchildren, Abby House, Jayden Rudd, Daniel Coleman, Nick (Kenzie) Cook, Sarah (Cole) Carr, Ashley Cook, Joseph Cook, Micah Worth, Annika Worth; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Frank W. Worth.
Her legacy of service and love for adventure will continue to inspire and live on in the hearts of many.
