Luther Duckins, 77, of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, died Sunday, February 23, 2020, at his home. The son of Luther Duckins and Jewel Hill, he was born October 27, 1942 in Wynn, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Duckins and Jewell Hill.
He is survived by: one daughter, Vedia Johnson of St. Charles, Missouri; two sons, Dwayne Duckins and his wife, Shawna of St. Peters, Missouri and Dwight Duckins and his wife, Melody of Lady Lake, Florida; four grandchildren, Brock Perkins of Columbia, Missouri, Dashon Duckins of Wright City, Missouri, Orlando Broner of St. Charles, Missouri and Naomi Mith; two grandchildren,Bostyn Perkins and Dezmond Duckins; an auntie, Vullan Lee Turner and a cousin, who was like a brother to him, Freddie Parker and his wife, Norita of St. Louis, Missouri.
Mr. Duckins was a press mechanic for Synoco Can and retired in 2003. He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle and tinkering in the garage.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4 until 6 p.m., Friday, February 28, 2020 at the Pitman Funeral Home, 1545 Wentzville Parkway, Wentzville, Missouri 63385 636-327-6600. Private inurnment will take place at a later date at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
