Margaret “Midge” Wilson Fulkerson passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, at the age of 99. Midge lived a long life filled with family, laughter, and simple joys. She is survived by her five children: Beverlee (Larry-dec) Wilson Anderson; Leonard (Nancy Landa) Wilson, Jr.; Susan Wilson (Pat) O’Brien; Dennis (Cheri) Wilson; and Sam (Shari) Wilson; son-in-law, Tim Trapp. She also leaves behind many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Walter C. Viehmann; her mother, Theresa (Scott) Viehmann; her husband, Leslie Fulkerson; her first husband, Leonard E. Wilson; daughter, Gena Wilson Trapp, and eight siblings and their spouses.
Midge had a love for life’s pleasures. She enjoyed dancing—especially to country music—playing card games with family and friends, with Pinochle being her favorite, and making trips to Ameristar Casino. She was well known for her homemade desserts, especially her pies, and for relaxing with a beer in good company. Midge gave back to her community by volunteering at election polls and was a devoted member of the Order of the Eastern Star, which she joined in 1953.
Midge will be remembered for her warmth, her love of family, and the many memories she created over nearly a century of life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
