It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Martha Jane Warner on March 21, 2025 at the age of 67. She was a remarkable woman whose life was filled with passion, adventure, and a commitment to helping others. Martha was born in Burlington Iowa on March 18, 1958, the daughter of Irving and Marie Bergquist. She attended Burlington Community High School and graduated in 1976.
Martha’s vibrant personality, warmth, and zest for life touched all who knew her. Spending time with her family, traveling, boating, and big family vacations were some of the things she was most passionate about. Attending baseball games, concerts, and grandchildren’s activities brought her tremendous joy. She also enjoyed socializing with her many friends, old and new. Martha will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Married in 1977, Martha was the beloved wife of Russ Warner of Wentzville, MO. Survived by her daughter Mindy (Matt) Heuser of Wentzville, MO, son Rusty (Kelly) Warner of Lake St. Louis, MO, sister Nancy (Gerry) Trexler of Fairview, TN, six grandchildren Maddie, Megan, Samuel, Felicity, Evangeline, and Imogen, and many nieces, nephews, and goddaughters. She was preceded in death by her father Irving Bergquist, mother Marie Bergquist, father-in-law Frank Warner, mother-in-law Maxine Warner, and sister-in-law Eloise Warner.
We will gather to celebrate Martha’s incredible life at a visitation on April 1, 2025 at Pitman Funeral Home in Wentzville from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm and for a celebration of life service on April 2, 2025 at Pitman Funeral Home in Wentzville at 11:00 am.
