Mary Elizabeth Kruse, 70, of Lake St. Louis, Missouri passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, January 29, 2020. The daughter of Joseph Michael and Margaret Matilda (Mattli) Palermo, she was born December 27, 1949, in St. Louis, Missouri. On August 27, 1971, she married her high school sweetheart, Timothy T. Kruse. Surviving her are: her husband, Tim Kruse of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; three daughters, Jennifer Kauffman and her husband, James of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, Melinda Wagner and her husband, Evan of Defiance, Missouri and Betsey Helfrich and her husband, Ryan of Washington, Missouri; six grandchildren, Henry Kauffman, Leo Kauffman, Finley Wagner, Grayson Wagner, Rory Helfrich and Adele Helfrich; one sister, Jane Ford and husband, Bruce of Blue Springs, Missouri; three brothers, Mark Palermo and wife, Mary of O'Fallon, Missouri, John Palermo and wife, Kathy of Lenexa, Kansas and Dave Palermo of Independence, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews. She was an active member of the Immaculate Conception at Dardenne parish. She also volunteered her time in the community for various organizations including Meals on Wheels, St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry and at Delmar Gardens. Mary lived a life of faith and was an example of true courage. Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating Mary's life. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Immaculate Conception Chapel in Dardenne Prairie, Missouri. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Pitman Funeral Home, 1545 Wentzville Pkwy., Wentzville, MO 63385 (636-290-6453). Entombment will be in Our Lady Mausoleum, Lake St. Louis, Missouri. Memorial donations may be made to Meals on Wheels in her memory.
