Mary Alice Martin (née: Dickherber) of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away on January 18, 2026, at the age of 77. She is survived by her son, Matt R. (Danielle) Martin of Lake Saint Louis, MO; two daughters, Amy (Jim) Cook of Wentzville, MO, and D.J. (Brian) Blaine of Wentzville, MO; two brothers, Dave (Tracy) Dickherber of Wentzville, MO, and Steve (Jeanine) Dickherber of Wentzville, MO; two sisters, Becky (Steve) Leonard of Wentzville, MO, and Kim (Jim) Everton of St. Charles, MO; grandchildren, Carly (Ben), Alex (Kiefer), Brady, Ellie, Jessie, Emma, Audrey, Colton and Wyatt; great grandchildren, Hadley, William and Baby Schmidt due in June.; She is preceded in death by her father, Anthony Dickherber, mother, Mary Frances Dickherber (née: Bornhop).
Born and raised in Dardenne, Missouri, Mary was the daughter of the late Tony and Janie Dickherber (née: Bornhop). She had a successful career as an Administrative Assistant in the Telecommunications industry, where she dedicated many years of professional service.
A devout member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Wentzville, Mary’s faith was an important part of her life. She was an avid sports enthusiast who took particular pride in her traveling senior softball team. Her greatest joy, was watching her grandchildren play sports, she was their biggest cheerleader, never missing an opportunity to support them from the stands.
Mary had a vibrant social life and treasured her friendships. She was a devoted member of her Bunco group, known as the “Bunco Babes,” and looked forward to their regular gatherings. Sunday afternoons found her at local wineries with friends, enjoying live music and dancing. An enthusiastic traveler, Mary explored new places with excitement and always had a puzzle in progress at home.
Mary had a special gift with children. She delighted in playing with and talking to little ones, whether she knew them or not. Her impeccable sense of fashion and love of jewelry earned her a reputation as a classy lady.
Above all, Mary was extraordinarily proud of her children and grandchildren and everything they accomplished. Her love, encouragement, and presence will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
