Mary Catherine Stonebarger, nee Hollingsworth passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 11, 2020. Mary was born in 1929 in St. Charles, MO to Arthur and Mary (Carton) Hollingsworth. Mary is survived by her six children; John Eckler of Myrtle Beach, SC, Martha (Frank) Smith of Louisville, KY, Cathy (Henry) Redeker of Irvington, IL, Sue (Wayne) Morton of Kirksville, MO, Harold (Dee) Stonebarger of Troy, MO, Gerald (Joyce) Stonebarger of Sunset Hills, MO. Mary was the beloved grandmother of 29 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
Mary leaves behind many friends from her First Baptist Church of Lake St. Louis church family where she was an active member for many years. Mary was a retiree of St. Luke’s Hospital of Chesterfield, MO where she worked as a secretary and later a volunteer into her late seventies.
Mary requested cremation which will be provided by Pitman Funeral Home in Wentzville, MO. Private graveside services to be held at a later date.
