Maurice “Moe” Rothermich, loving husband, father, step father, paw paw, brother and friend passed away in the early hours of June 1st, 2022 after his courageous fight with pancreatic cancer. As a lifelong resident of St. Charles County, Maurice was born on May 21st, 1962 where he grew up with a large and loving family. When he was 18 years old, Maurice started as a maintenance worker for the Chesterfield Fire Department, where with his hard work and dedication grew his career with the department becoming a full time Engineer/ EMT. Maurice was the true definition of a hero, just celebrating 40 years of serving his community with the Chesterfield/Monarch fire department. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.
Moe was an avid golfer and fisherman, enjoying his time outdoors with his friends and family. He also loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren every chance he could get.
Maurice is survived by his loving wife Tracy; His 2 daughters, Dana Kline (Jeremy), Ashley Fritz (Eric), His 3 step children, Erika Gibson (Marc), Blake Smith and Montana Smith; His 8 Grandchildren, Brady, Bryan, Grayson, Clayton, Gracie, Jake, Lukis and Lydia; his siblings, Harry Rothermich, Phil Rothermich (Marsha), Pat Johnson, Claire Hayes, Paul Rothermich (Robin), Steve Rothermich (Rose), Mary Becker (Rick); along with many nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Phyllis Rothermich and his siblings Theresa Douglas, Joe Rothermich and Timothy Rothermich. His brother and sister in laws, Mike Hayes, Edna Rothermich, Zora Rothermich.
A visitation has been scheduled for Thursday June 9th between 3pm-8pm at Pitman Funeral home, 1545 Wentzville Parkway. Following will be a funeral service scheduled on Friday June 10th at 2pm.
