Michael Oberaitis

Michael Kenneth Oberaitis, 87, of Marthasville, MO, passed away peacefully in his home on May 4, 2025.

A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother-in-law, Mike will be remembered for his patience, sense of humor, and love of fishing.

He is survived by the love of his life, Carol (nee: Fritze), whom he was married to for 40 years; his children Laurie Oberaitis (Ron Hanf), Jenny Williamson (Mike), Terri Dodaro (Dave), Jill Kettner (Harold), Michael Oberaitis (Jennifer); his 20 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Oberaitis and Helen Oberaitis (nee: Patapas), brother Richard Oberaitis, and daughter, Angie Stewart.

Mike shared with his family before his passing that he had a fulfilling life. 
Born September 29, 1937 in Cleveland, OH, he was a member of the U.S. Navy and retired from General Motors in 2003 after a nearly 37 year career. He spent his time traveling with his wife to visit family, tinkering on his boat or house project. He was an avid golfer, puzzler, and reader. 

The family is grateful for the SSM Hospice Nurses for their tender and capable care.
