Michael Schlick, Sr. Obituary

Michael Lee Schlick, Sr. passed away on November 28, 2020 at the age of 64. He is survived by his two sons, Michael (Evangeline) Schlick Jr., Christopher (Emily) Schlick; daughter, Jennifer (Jason) Rezabek; two sisters, Susan (David) Wallis, Nancy (Brian) Gibson; two brothers, Steven (Linda) Schlick, Eugene (Deborah) Schlick;  nine grandchildren, Jacob, Joseph, Andrew, Alex, Peyton, Alene, Ethan, Cole, and McKenna; great-grandson, Lucas.

He will be remembered for his hard work ethic working for Schnucks for over 20 years, Walmart and most recently Food Giant. A son, brother and uncle that always had a story to tell. A sports dad that took time to coach all three kids’ when they were younger. A grandpa that loved to tease and make the grandkids laugh.

For fun, he enjoyed an ice cold beer, listening to loud music and dancing. For vacations, he could be found on a camp ground watching a fire or fishing. He loved watching the Cardinals play baseball. Mostly, he will be remembered as living life how he wanted and singing the lyrics to a Zac Brown Band song...toes in the water, ass in the sand, not a worry in the world and a cold beer in my hand.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene T. and Patsy J. Schlick, sisters, Mary Jo Schlick and Barbara Schlick, grandchild, Blake. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Due to COVID concerns and for the safety of all family and friends, there will not be a public memorial service. We invite everyone to leave comments and favorite memories on the tribute wall.
