Morie Dennis Winn

Morie Dennis Winn passed away on June 27, 2026 at the age of 85.

Born to Maurice Willard Winn and Ruby Caroline Winn (née Kettles). He shared 66 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Patricia Ann Winn (née Harrison). The couple was married on June 25, 1960, and celebrated their 66th anniversary just days before his passing.

Morie is lovingly remembered by his wife, Pat. He is also survived by his children; Michele Newsham (Curt) of St. Peters, Missouri, Dennis Winn (Beccy) of Evansville, Indiana, and Jason Winn (Kim) of St. Louis, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Alyshia Andersen (Benj) of Houston, Texas, Brooke Newsham (Danny) of St. Peters, Missouri, Jonathan Winn of Evansville, Indiana, James Winn (Laurie) of Huntsville, Alabama, Jordan Winn (McKenna) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Colin Gornicz (Sydney) of O’Fallon, Missouri, Thomas Czerniejewski of Wentzville, Missouri, Hayden Gough of Kansas City, Missouri, Sophia Winn of St. Louis, Missouri, and Christian Winn of St. Louis, Missouri; eight great-grandchildren, Margaret (Peggy) Winn, Aubrey Newsham, James Winn, Jr., Phoebe Winn, Everette Winn, Colter Andersen, Carter Gornicz, Zoe Winn; sisters, Darlene Weidenbenner (Mike) and Vivian Lord (Rick).

He is preceded in death by his parents, his son, Matthew Winn, granddaughter, Bethany Winn, and brother, Dwight Winn.

Morie dedicated 43 years of service to the United States Postal Service. For nearly 50 years, he made his home in Josephville, where he enjoyed the quiet rural life in St. Charles County. He loved spending time boating and camping, but his favorite place was "down at the barn," where he could often be found tinkering with projects and fixing just about anything.

Thirty-four years ago, Morie's life was forever changed when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. His faith became the foundation of his life, and he was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of O'Fallon.

Morie's greatest joy was the time he spent with his family. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, hard work, and integrity that will continue to live on through those who knew and loved him.
