Nancy Lue Akers of Wentzville passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022 at the age of 70 years.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Fred Akers of Wentzville; two brothers-in-law, Steven Akers and wife, Irene of Dorr, MI and Clifton Akers and wife, Paulette Egmon of Maryville, IL; other relatives, and many friends.
Nancy Lue Akers was born July 23, 1951 in St. Louis; daughter of the late Robert Field Satterfield and wife, Helen Greulich Satterfield. She graduated with an Associates Degree from Forest Park Community College in St. Louis. Nancy was married to Mr. Fred Akers July 29, 1972. Nancy retired after 30+ years with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company.
Nancy was confirmed as a teen in the Emmaus Evangelical and Reformed Church. Later, she began following Krishna Consciousness.
She was a member of the Con Trios Yacht Club. Nancy was a huge Beatles fan; especially “her Beatle” George Harrison. She loved horses and rode many times as a youth. She also loved her mother-in-law’s Italian Sauce; she called it “gravy”. She retained all the Italian recipes and passed them on to her nieces.

Nancy will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
