Nancy Reynolds of Wentzville passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022 at the age of 88 years.
She is survived by two sons, Christopher Carl Reynolds and wife, Sandi of Wentzville and David Dean Reynolds and wife, Rene of St. Charles; four grandchildren, Wesley Reynolds, Tyler Scott Reynolds, Madison, and Brody; other relatives, and friends.
Nancy Jane Reynolds was born July 21, 1933 in St. Louis; daughter of the late David Keefe and wife, Marie Truttman Keefe. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Fontbonne College, Master's Degree from University of Missouri-St. Louis, and graduate work at Washington University. She taught in Wentzville for 3 years and Francis Howell School District for 27 years; where she was a past Teacher of the Year at Becky David Elementary. She was appointed an Alderman in Wentzville and later was elected to two terms as Mayor of Wentzville from 1974-1978. She was very active in the Wentzville Community Center for 30+ years, St. Charles County Democratic Committee from 1967-2008, appointed by Gov Mel Carnahan to the Missouri Human Rights Commission, and a member of the Wentzville Historical Society.
Nancy was preceded in death by her oldest son, Scott Reynolds.
Memorials preferred to Alzheimer’s Association or Powell Symphony Hall.
