Nellie Pulliam Obituary

On June 20, 2022 Nellie Annette (Chapman) Pulliam passed away peacefully in Lake St. Louis, Missouri.  She was 87 years old. A visitation and memorial service will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022 from 2 to 3 pm at the Pitman Funeral Home in Missouri.  A memorial service in Georgia will follow at a later date. 

Nellie is survived by her son Randy L. Pulliam and wife, Debbie: her daughter Kimberly Ann Muraczewski and husband, Matthew; grandchildren, Christopher Pulliam (Bethany), Matthew Pulliam, Kayla Muraczewski, Tyler Muraczewski; great grandchildren, Jackson Pulliam, Peyton Pulliam; niece Susan Showalter (Tom); grandniece Ashton Lampert (Michael).  In addition to her parents, Nellie was preceded in death by her brothers Julius Chapman, Jr. and Cassius L. Chapman and her sister Frances M (Chapman) Dorsey.  

Nellie was born on January 26, 1935 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Julius and Mettie (Cornwell) Chapman. She graduated from Murphy High School in Atlanta, Georgia  in 1953. Nellie enjoyed a long accounting career with the Kliklok-Woodman Company in Decatur, Georgia. She has been a resident of Lake St. Louis, Missouri for three years. Nellie was a loving mother, grandmother, and aunt. She loved animals especially her first dog, Monk. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary since 2002.
