Opal Lee Wyatt, 92, of Wright City, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at the home of her son, Jerome in Wright City, Missouri. The daughter of Clifford and Daisy (Dean) English, she was born January 7, 1928 in Warrenton, Missouri. She was married to Freddie Wyatt on March 5, 1956 and he preceded her in death on October 25, 1981. Also preceding her were two daughters, Nadine Simpson and Anita Faye Wyatt-Fries; one son, John F. Wyatt; one sister, Faye Kemp; and one brother, Rev. Jesse Watts.
She is survived by one son, Jerome Wyatt and his wife, Dorothy of Wright City, Missouri; one step-daughter, Betty Milliner of Wright City, Missouri; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Wyatt was an alumni of Franklin High School in St. Charles, Missouri. She was retired from the field of domestic service. She was a feisty lady who loved cooking, being with family, card playing and going to dances. She was a member of the Wesley Smith United Methodist Church in Wright City.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m., Friday evening, March 13, 2020 at Pitman Funeral Home, 1545 Wentzville Parkway, Wentzville, Missouri (636-327-6600). As were her wishes, cremation rites were accorded.
