Kevin came to know the Lord and his Savior at church camp on Vashon Island at the age of 12 years. He was called to preach at the age of 16 and attended Hyles-Anderson College in Crown Point, Indiana, where he met his wife, Dawn. Kevin was a youth pastor at Victory Baptist Church in East Moline, Illinois and also taught at East Moline Christian School. In 1990, he pastored at Victory Baptist Church in East Tawas, Michigan. In 1992, he pastored Ole Country Baptist Church in Mexico, Missouri and was General Manager for KJAB Christian Radio.
Because of failing health, he retired from the church and radio station. He and his wife moved to Wentzville, Missouri after living in the Mexico area for 28 years. They are members of Amazing Grace Baptist Church in St. Charles, Missouri where Kevin was involved in teaching Sunday School and the Bible Handout Ministry.
Kevin loved to hunt and fish. His grandchildren were the apple of his eye and he loved to spend time with them watching movies and eating popcorn or playing games. He taught them both how to fish. One of the most enjoyable things Kevin liked to do was to talk to people about the Lord and His goodness.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to KJAB Christian Radio in Mexico, Missouri at 621 W. Monroe, Mexico, MO 65265.
