Patricia Stewart Obituary

Patricia Stewart of Lake St. Louis, Missouri passed away Friday, August 5, 2022, at the age of 74 years. 

Patricia Kathleen Stewart was born January 6, 1948, in St. Louis, Missouri; daughter of the late Michael P. Toundas and wife, Helen E. Hamilos Toundas.  Patricia was married to Mr. Ralph C. Ringwald II and two sons were born to this marriage. Mr. Ringwald passed away in 1975. She later married Wayne Stewart November 29, 1998, and they made their home in Lake St. Louis.  

Patricia received her nursing degree from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in Alton, IL. Then, she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Louis University, and a Master of Science in Nursing from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, IL., and a Master of Arts in Health Services Management from Webster College. While in school, she was a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society. Patricia worked as a licensed nurse for 52 years, practicing in various hospitals and as a professor at St. Mary’s Nursing School and St. Charles Community College Nursing program. Additionally, she was a volunteer for Lake St. Louis Fire Department and as vaccinator during the Covid-19 pandemic. 

Patricia is survived by her husband, Wayne Stewart of Lake St. Louis; two sons, Michael Ringwald, his wife Renee, and children Megan and Elyse, of Lake St. Louis, MO, and Rolf Ringwald, his wife Kim, and children Chase and Kayla, of Wentzville, MO; three step-children, Stephenie Stewart of Kansas City, KS, Stacey Hamm, her children Austin and Tyler, and grandchild Brayden, of St. Charles, MO, and Scott Stewart, his wife Katie, and children Scottie and Charlie of Kansas City, KS; two sisters, Pamela T. Gilmore of Newport News, Virginia and Sandra T. Harrell of Lake St. Louis, MO; other relatives, and many friends.

Patricia enjoyed camping, traveling, trout fishing, golfing, and volunteering with dog rescue organizations.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 27 from 4:00-8:00PM at the Lake St. Louis Community Association, 100 Cognac Ct, Lake St. Louis, MO 63367.
