Patricia (Pat) Foster passed away on January 16, 2025 at the age of 81.
Pat was born September 19, 1943 in Lakota, North Dakota. She is survived by her beloved husband Meade Foster of Foristell, Missouri, her three children, Paul Foster, Ann (Foster) Jamar and Karen (Foster) Vega and 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
She was the oldest of eleven born to the late Norbert H. Lange and Marge (Foley) Lange. Her 3 brothers, Jerome, Steve (deceased) and John and 7 sisters, LaVonne, Jane, Kathleen, Paula, Lisa, Mary (deceased) and Peg (deceased) all shared their love for North Dakota.
Pat grew up in many different cities, attending 3 different high schools. She went on to get a BA degree in Sociology and worked as a case worker in the Department of Public Assistance in Boise, Idaho. She and her husband Meade moved to Wentzville, MO where he grew up following the birth of their son in 1968. After the birth of the daughter’s she returned to college and received a lifetime K-12 teaching certification. She taught 4th grade 3 years and 2nd grade 9 years at Wright City, MO, public school and 2nd grade at Holy Rosary in Warrenton, MO, 16 years. After retirement from full time teaching she continued to substitute teach in Wentzville Public System for 10 years.
Pat and her husband did a lot of tent camping with their three children throughout the U.S. She sang with the Choral Art Singers almost 40 years. She sang with them in Taiwan and Carnegie Hall in New York, City and the Kennedy Center in D.C. In later years she sang with her church choir until her death.
All who knew her, loved her.
