Patrick Joseph Knisley passed away on November 28, 2020 at the age of 79 of Wright City, Missouri; He is survived by his four daughters, Madelyn Knisley, Melinda Machado, Kasey (Stephen) Walters, Christy (Stephen) Resch; two brothers, Andrew (Jacquelyn) Timan, Dennis Knisley; sister, Mary (Orville-desceased) Ackmann; grandchildren, Sydney Hutter, McKenzie, Matthew, and McKayla Resch, Joshua and Jarrod Knisley, Danielle and Stuart Machado; great-grandchildren, William and Myles; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Floyd Henry Knisley, mother, Janet Lucille Knisley nee Kriz, son, Michael Knisley, brother, Floyd "Lefty" Knisley, sister, Janet Rowan. Patrick proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a seaman on the USS Columbus. Patrick was a dedicated police officer for over 50 years. He served many communities including Wellston and Lincoln county, Missouri. He held the honor of being the police chief in Silex, Missouri. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #15, The Blue Knights International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, a former commander of American Legion post #122 in Warrenton, Missouri and the Elks Lodge in Troy, Missouri. Patrick loved to travel the country riding his motorcycle. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
