Patrick "Paddy" T. Holden

Patrick "Paddy" T. Holden passed away at his home in Defiance, Mo on January 28, 2025 at the age of 73. He was born June 17, 1951 in Roscrea, county of Tipperary, Ireland.  The world has lost a gentle, kind, and generous man. He possessed a wise, intelligent mind with patience and excellent judgment. 

Paddy loved his home, he enjoyed gardening, playing guitar, and caring for the wild creatures.  He was an avid Trump supporter and followed politics.  

He is survived by his wife, Sharon (Hopkins) Holden.  They shared 40 wonderful years together.  His passing leaves a void more than words can express.  He is survived by his sister, Karen Higginbotham of Lake Sherwood, MO, his brother, Mark G. (Susan) Holden of Ct, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerome T. and Rosejoan Holden. 

Paddy cared deeply about children, the family is requesting memorial donations be made to his favorite charity, Marine Corps Toys for Tots, P.O. Box 5036, Boone, IA 50950-0036

Arrangements for a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
