Peggy Majors Obituary

Peggy Ann Majors (nee: Phillips), a devoted registered nurse, loving family member, and passionate nature enthusiast, passed away on February 4, 2025 at the age of 88. Born on February 27, 1936, Peggy dedicated her life to caring for others, earning her Associate Degree from Meramec Community College School of Nursing in 1974. She proudly served the community at St. Mary's and Bethesda for 30 years, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives along the way. Peggy had a vibrant spirit and a multitude of interests. She was an avid reader, finding joy in the pages of all genres, especially historical fiction. Her love for games was evident in her enthusiasm for bridge, jigsaw puzzles, and crossword puzzles, where she often challenged herself and others. Nature was one of her greatest passions; Peggy found immense joy in gardening, as well as observing the deer and birds on her property, particularly when it came to admiring owls in their natural habitat. A member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Wentzville, Peggy's faith was central to her life. She was also an avid golfer, relishing the time spent on the fairways with friends and family. Her love for photography and genealogy showcased her curiosity about the world and her family history, ensuring that the stories of her ancestors were preserved for future generations. Traveling to new places fueled her adventurous spirit, as she cherished exploring the beauty and diversity of the world. Above all, Peggy treasured her family, cherishing every moment spent with them and instilling in them her values of kindness and compassion. Peggy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Majors of Innsbrook, Missouri; one son, Jeffrey (Debbie) Majors of Springfield, IL; two daughters, Pamela (Robert) Moore of Chesterfield, MO, Barbara Majors of Wright City, MO; brother, Jerry (Francinne) Phillips of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren, Brittney (Daniel) Suntrup, Sarah Moore, Lindsey (Kevin) Jones, Christa Moore, Robert (Missy) Majors, Rachael (Luke Conforti) Majors, James Burton, Samuel (Kole) Hosang, Daniel Hosang, and several great grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her father, Edgar Phillips, mother, Zelda Phillips (nee: Luna), sister, Rubye Crumbaugh, brother-in-law, Dean Crumbaugh, daughter, Beverly Majors, and granddaughter, Haley Mueth.
