Richard Deichmann of Wentzville, MO passed away on November 14, 2022 at the age of 68. He was the beloved husband of Diane Deichmann (nee Tonies) of Wentzville, Missouri; He is survived by his three children, Neil (DeAnna) Helfer, Bradley Deichmann, Deena (Travis) Linsman; two brothers, Robert (Janet) Kuykendal and Ronald (Gail) Deichmann; seven grandchildren, Drew Helfer, Aiden Pratt, Alexis Helfer, Carlie Pratt, Samuel Helfer, Ellie Linsman, Grady Linsman; two great-grandchildren, Emery Robinson and Cecilia Helfer; He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard Spencer Deichmann and Bernice Ann Deichmann (nee Nugent).
Richard graduated from University of Missouri St. Louis and later obtained a Master's Degree from Webster University. He went to St. Louis Police Academy and worked for the Overland and O'Fallon Police Departments. He went on to work 30 years as a Special Agent for Norfolk Southern Railroad retiring in 2014. Richard was very active in Operation Lifesaver, O'Fallon Safety Town, railroad safety classes for driver's education, and CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) of O'Fallon. He was very proud of Operation Lifesaver. After he retired, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and loved getting together weekly with friends.
