Richard Lee Edwards of Wright City, Missouri, passed away on April 5, 2026, at the age of 72. He was the beloved husband of Phyllis Edwards (née: Saulich) of Wright City, Missouri; He is survived by his two daughters, Emilie Edwards, Morgan Leigh (Jon) Wegener; three brothers, John (Debbie) Edwards, Stephen (Beth) Edwards, Leon (Sharon) Edwards; one grandchild, Natalie Ann Wegener; He is preceded in death by his father, Earl Edwards, mother, Ola Edwards (née: Harbit).
Richard was united in marriage to, Phyllis, and together they shared 44 wonderful years together. From this loving union, they were blessed with two daughters, Emilie and Morgan.
Richard dedicated 33 years of service to the John Cochran VA Hospital, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to helping others. Outside of his career, he found great joy in raising Great Danes, a hobby that brought him much happiness and companionship over the years.
He was a proud member of the Warrenton Elks and was actively involved at Church of the Shepherd, where he faithfully ran the sound system and served his church community.
Above all, Richard loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
