Richard Severns of Wright City, Missouri, passed away on July 19, 2026, at the age of 65. He is survived by his son, Gage Severns of Wright City, MO; daughter, Kayla Severns of O' Fallon, MO; four brothers, Donald (Beverly) Severns of Jacksonville, FL, Darrell (Ruth) Severns of Denver, CO, Russull (Nancy) Severns of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Doug (Tammy) Severns of Wentzville, MO; He is preceded in death by his father, Durward Severns, mother, Virginia Severns (née: Sallee).  

Richard was a man who found his greatest joy in the simple pleasures of life. An avid outdoorsman, he loved spending time fishing, took great pride in caring for his chickens, raising animals, feeding the deer, and looking after his beloved dogs. Whether working outdoors or spending time on his tractor, Richard was happiest at home.

Richard also had a passion for cooking and enjoyed preparing meals for those he loved. He was an enthusiastic disc golf player and never passed up a trip to Rural King, one of his favorite places to visit. He enjoyed relaxing with a cold beer and treasured the quiet comforts of his home. Above all, Richard cherished the time he spent with his family, especially gathering around the table to play board games and create lasting memories together.

Richard will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
