Robert Addison Obituary

Robert Edward Addison of Lake St. Louis, MO passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at the age of 86 years.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Addison of Lake St. Louis; four daughters, Christine Ross and significant other, Dave Mitchell of Bonne Terre, MO, Theresa Addison of St. Clair, MO, Laura Addison of Lake St. Louis, MO, and Julie Bauman and husband, Mathew of Wentzville, MO; five grandchildren, Sean Ross, Olivia Stack, Ashley Sturtevant and husband, Andrew, Aaron Schroeder, and Katie Schroeder; one great granddaughter, Gwen Sturtevant; other relatives, and friends.

Robert graduated from Normandy High School in Normandy, MO. Robert was in the United States Navy and was a gunner on the U.S.S. Massey. He was married to Elizabeth Allen November 16, 1963 and four daughters were born to this marriage. Robert was a journeyman jazz musician playing the trumpet and string bass and he was a member of the Teamsters’ Union. Above all, Robert was a devout Catholic and family man. In 1975 Robert moved his family to St. Clair, Missouri where he took a job as a delivery driver with Wonder Bread bakery. Robert attended St. Clare Catholic Church and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council #4667, serving two terms as Grand Knight. In 2009 Robert and his wife relocated to Lake Saint Louis, Missouri to be closer to his children and grandchildren and Robert attended Immaculate Conception Church in Dardenne Prairie, MO. Robert was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. He was a jokester and well known for his funny one-liners.

Robert will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Memorials preferred to Heartland Humane Society of Missouri or St. Vincent De Paul.
